Easy entry access, no need for a removable steering wheel  
If you look at the entry/exit area for each seat in the picture above, you'll notice it has very easy access to the seats.  If you've ever gotten out of a sandcar on an off camber sandhill you will appreciate this "easy access" the first time you try out the BIG 5. 

Upright Beard seating
The visual vantage and comfort of our upright seating is surprisingly effective at enhancing your driving skills, getting a much better view to improve your reaction times. Your natural instinct to negotiating the dunes will be noticeable, especially when transitioning between bowls looking for clearance to prevent collision. We do this with Beard seats, the choice of racers for years due to their comfort and durability. 

Under seat storage
Raised front seats provide a nice cubby area for mounting our Funco storage bags.  These can hold tools, sweat shirts, or essentials like toilet paper ;-)   Raised front seats also provide more toe room for rear passengers, not to mention the added huggy bar for the toes that some learn to appreciate when dad drives too fast.

Storage pouches back of front seats
Beard offers optional integrated pouches sewn on the seat backs for even more storage.  This is perfect for flat items like maps, visors, or gloves.  The  BIG 5 has enough rear legroom to take advantage of this option without cramping passenger legs.

3 Panel rear view mirror
An excellent way to keep track of your followers.  Our billet 3 panel mirror is very popular feature that provides a wide rear view with no distortion.  Our 3 panel mirror also offer an optional passenger mirror so your passenger can keep track of followers.

Solid roof, optional rack configuration  
Safer than a soft top, our aluminum roof adds rigidity and shade for passengers.  In a roll our solid top can prevent the roll bars from submerging into the sand as much as having no roof top. You may want to opt for an additional center support on the roof, it can then double as a roof rack, capable of hauling things like a tire, boxes of firewood, camping equipment, or simply being stonger for standing on when watching the drags.

Optional air pump (optional)
Integrated into the car, you'll always have air in times of need.  Very handyin the dunes.

Roomy interior
Sitting in the BIG 5 or HUSTLER 4 tells the whole story, lots of room for comfort, with optional extra wide seats for big people.  If you're extra tall we can integrate a slightly higher roofline, custom for you, but most folks have more headroom in our BIG 5 than other cars.

Adjustable spring rates, in case of heavy loads
For those rare occasions when you have four big adults, Funco's adjustable spring rates let you easily adjust your suspension spring rate to handle big loads when needed. You simply add a little air to the air bags with a pump or bottle, quick and simple.

Dash and Gauges
Our dash and gauges are conveniently located in the easiest place to see them, at the steering wheel.  Although this may seem like an obvious place, not all sandcar builders do the obvious.

Gas Gauge
It's always nice to know your gas level.  Our standard gas gauge lets you see the level on the dash anytime the ignition is on.

Dome light
Sometimes at night you need a little light, it's included.  Conveniently located in center overhead to light up the front and rear seats, making it easy to see how to buckle up at night.

14' 6" overall length on the BIG 5 (Subaru powered)
With our focus on the primary goals of ideal weight distribution, steering geometry, and long suspension for great handling, the car length turned out to be a nice size, shorter and lighter than most of 4 or 5 seat cars.  This shorter length makes it easier to store.  V8 models are slightly longer for weight distribution needs.

Implement Front Tires
If you're like many duners, occasionally you want to take your sandcar on off-road trails, out in the dirt.  The recommended front tires on a Funco car are perfect for either sand or hard pan terrain, alleviating the need to switch front tires all the time.  All you have to do is swap out the rear tires.  Other brand sandcars that need razor front tires (to help turning) require all 4 tires to be swapped for dirt operation, a little extra hassle.

With all the storage options we offer, we haven't forgotten the essential drink cooler.  Beard offers matching cooler covers to match your seat selection. Mounted in the most popular place, up front near the steering rack, it's easy to access for an occasional cool one.
